I originally planned on piecing together my own kindergarten program with free resources and a library card, but with two littles underfoot I started looking for some ready-made curriculum and materials to make life easier.
It’s a trade off. Do I spiral down the Pinterest Black Hole or make it rain on Amazon?
With my oldest leading the way (read: forcing me to live and breathe dinosaurs for the past three years) we’ve done quite a bit of learning. We’ve covered every topic from math to cooking. This week we’re back at it, ramping up for Dinosaur Week at our local children’s museum.
I used to be able to remember everything. I could repeat a six month old conversation back verbatim. Just ask my husband. Something happened when I started having kids. At first I thought it was just the Pregnancy Stupids. It turns out that’s not the case.
Wait what were we talking about?
I have to write everything down. For that I have my planners.
I’m not going to pretend that our lives are Pinterest Perfect. My kids are basically wrecking balls with cute, chubby arms and legs sticking out. The majority of our time is spent goofing off, dancing around the living room, and pretending to be dinosaurs.
