Online Resources
The American Dental Association’s website for kids. You’ll find excellent information and activities for everyone from preschool to preteens. Tons of printables, a few games, and even resources for kids interested on pursuing a career in dentistry.
Teachers and homeschoolers – be sure to check out their Smile Smarts Dental Health Curriculum. A full, in depth curriculum for kids in preschool through grade 8.
DentalCare.com presented by Crest and Oral B
This website features activities, videos, and lesson plans. Worth a look – especially for the full-color printables and activity sheets. One interesting feature here is the customizable lesson plans featuring a huge variety of lessons with timing, printables, and supplements included.
Teacher guides, printable activities, and such adorable printable posters that I’m thinking about plastering their entire bathroom with them. Seriously the S is for Smile one. Love. Everything is easily accessible on one page from this website. You may also look into ordering a Bright Futures classroom kit. These are usually available in the fall at the beginning of the traditional school year.
I love when kids lose their teeth. It’s such a huge milestone. Who doesn’t love those hole-y little smiles? My favorite part is asking this question. You never know what they’re going to say… Yikes!
