*Updated for 2020-2021 academic year!

Paper planning is a huge part of my life. My planners help me keep everyone and everything together on a daily basis.
I also just love picking out a pretty planner. One (or more haha) that I will love to sit down with every day. Homeschool is no different.
Somehow, getting organized for our homeschool week is so much more enjoyable when I have a planner I love! When you look forward to using your planner, you’ll find that you use it more and more.
Note: This post is about printed paper planners.

Popular Planners for Homeschooling
If you’re part of the planning world, these brands will look familiar. Many companies have homeschool and teacher planners available alongside their weekly/monthly planners.
Homeschool Planner
vs. Teacher Planner
vs. All the other Planners
Many homeschoolers plan and track with a regular weekly/monthly planner. These are perfect for families that homeschool on an irregular schedule or homeschool year round.
Teacher and homeschool planners differ from personal planners in that most run weekly spreads Monday – Friday. This will give you a bit more room to write and track.
You will see a few differences between teacher and homeschool planners. Field trip pages vs. class attendance trackers, for example. Some even offer a log or checklist feel – which is great if you prefer to track what you’ve accomplished rather than plan it all beforehand.
If you do homeschool M-F on an academic year schedule, I’d encourage you to check out homeschool and teacher planners. You’ll find many more teacher planners out there! Classroom teacher pages can be easily adjusted with stickers or simply pulled out.
Take a look inside some of the most popular homeschool planners. Check out the weekly layouts (some even have options) and the extra pages. Find what fits your homeschool and personal style. Above all, choose one that you will just love to use.
