♥ Early elementary children will love the engaging readers (other readers can be so dull!) and picture books on every topic from under the sea to outer space, fairy tales, folk tales, and beyond!

♥ For older children, illustrated stories from Shakespeare to Dickens, Greek Myths to Grimm, sci-fi, fantasy, and young adult series that can’t be found anywhere else. Usborne has a lot to offer older children!

2) Usborne Books for Homeschool and Home

Whether you’re a homeschool mom or a parent trying to give a little extra help after school, the educational value of Usborne books can’t be beat. Usborne has made it their business to offer engaging, educational books on a huge variety of topics.

  • Internet linked encyclopedias
  • Math dictionaries
  • Readers and phonics beginner’s books
  • Interactive books for reluctant readers
  • First thousand words in several foreign languages
  • Literature, history, geography, myths, and legends
  • Science books on every topic!

Whether you have a reluctant reader or a voracious one, you will find books to inspire your child through Usborne.

3 Usborne Books Supports Families

The last reason I love Usborne books in our homeschool is that when we buy, we are supporting families in our community. This builds community. Something many young families feel is lacking.

The vast majority of Usborne consultants are moms. I’m thrilled to promote a company that supports women in business – and especially mothers. Let’s support each other!

What’s it like to be an Usborne Consultant?

Usborne ConsultantSpotlight on Meredith!

I was introduced to Usborne books by my dear friend, Meredith. We met in a mom’s group when my biggest was little – long before homeschool was even a blip on our radar.

Meredith is a mom of four, and recently began her journey as an Usborne consultant. We were out to eat (without kids, wow!), and started talking about how much she loves it – and what a great opportunity Usborne is for moms.

Meredith tells me that Usborne is a company she feels good about. She’s working with families to bring quality books to their kids for reasonable prices – and even helping moms earn the books they need for free!

Perks of being an Usborne Consultant:

  • Earn a base 25% commission on all orders, including your own!
  • Earn a 4% bonus each month and have opportunities for other raises!
  • The company loves to spoil you with freebies just for doing your job!
  • Every month they have prizes you can earn, like gym bags, blankets, office supplies, books, etc… plus bigger things to earn to like luxury vacations!
  • Not to mention FREE and discounted books!
  • This is a very flexible job that allows you to work when and where you want.

9 replies on “3 Reasons to LOVE Usborne Books for your Homeschool!

  1. We loooooove Usborne books! My little guy loves the “That’s not my…” series, and the big kids are all about the non-fiction titles, plus the Shakespeare and Greek myths collections. We really haven’t found an Usborne title that we don’t like…

  2. I love Usborne Books, we have a ton! Out favorites for homeschool are the early readers library (the big one), and the learning palette, we use it for math, but I’m seriously considering getting the reading sets too.

    1. LMEESTONE, we love the learning palettes too!!! My 4 year old doesn’t even know she’s learning something new every time we “play.”

  3. We’re huge fans of Usborne books too!! They cover a lot of material in engaging ways. My kids enjoy the sticker books from Usborne and a new mini book we got called Dinosaur Trivia.
Happy to have found your blog…will follow you!
